From Side Gig to Main Gig!!

I'm excitedly posting {to basically nobody} that I'm pursuing PS Plum Social FULL TIIIIME!!!! No more day job, well, THIS is my DAY JOB now. A full-time stahving ahtist, if you will. I can't believe I'm lucky enough to call my passion my job, and want to thank everyone who has supported me, whether by ordering invitations or by complimenting my work. Each and everyone of you has given me the courage to keep going, and to eventually, after 2 really busy years, just go for it.

A little update on my plans ... I'm of course going to continue doing custom projects, but I'm also going to work on some ready-to-buy cards (that can always be personalized with party details or just a name for stationery). I also would like to start selling individual cards in stores, and am working on a variety pack for those of us with a well-rounded social life (think weddings, baby showers, weekends at friends' houses, etc...) An Etsy store is in the works as well, but since you know about the website, you can always just email me directly with inquiries!

Also, get excited for tons of shameless self promotion on Instagram (follow psplumsocial) and Facebook.

If for whatever reason you are reading this, go ahead and tell yo friends, tell yo wife to amp up the orders! And hey, men need stationery too, so hit me up!

Happy Memorial Day!

Cheers and thank you to all the men and women who have served our country! I am so grateful.

As I'm sitting here waiting for the clock to speed up so I can get on with my weekend (and gchatting about how I'm nervous to keep up a blog), I decided to write a little something. Especially since I sent an email out this morning about it being live and everything!

Beach-bound this holiday weekend with some close friends! Really can't wait, even though I'll miss being with my family and Gracie, the little gypsy dog.

A little update on Plum Social - been working on some fun projects lately, all with summer festivities in mind! I love bright colors, and have had a ton of fun mixing watercolors and painting celebratory prints. Latest and greatest - thanks to a client's direction - tropical flowers. Keep a lookout - it will eventually make it to the site!!

Gettin' Bloggy With It

Greetings Earthlings!! Really excited to get my website up and running, so thank you for checking it out. This blog might evolve, but for now I'll use it to showcase my inspiration.

Typically, I'm inspired by art, architecture, fashion and nature. I love combining unexpected colors, textures and patterns both in design work and wardrobe. While I sometimes wish my house of full of cool and neutral palates in calming patterns, I'm usually drawn to primary colors with bold, geometric prints. Honestly, they just make me happy.

When designing cards, ideas often just pop into my head, and I go with it. Obviously the main goal is to please the customer, so always happy to collaborate! So happy, humbled and spurred on by my friends who've hired me to design their special cards, and hope P.S. Plum Social continues to grow!
